A substantial percentage of all RV fires occur at gas service stations, caused by the owner forgetting to shut off the propane appliance burners before fueling up. The damage produced by these fires sometimes extends far beyond the RV and its contents, also affecting the station facilities and nearby motorists ­ a single act of forgetfulness can lead to widespread property damage, profound legal liabilities, and perhaps even injury or death.

FlaimOut™ was specifically designed to prevent this kind of tragedy, by automatically shutting off your propane appliance burners during each and every fuel stop. Consequently, there's no chance of forgetting to "kill the burners" before fueling up, and no danger of accidentally igniting gas vapors or spilled fuel with an appliance burner or pilot.

HOW IT WORKS - A single wire connects to your engine ignition switch, allowing FlaimOut™ to automatically interrupt DC power to your propane appliance burners as soon as you shut your engine off. FlaimOut™ then keeps your appliances disabled for up to half an hour, allowing plenty of time to to safely refuel your RV. As soon as you restart your engine (or any time you remain parked for more than half an hour), FlaimOut™ automatically restores DC power, allowing normal operation of your propane appliances to resume.

FlaimOut™ is totally electronic, and connects with just 4 to 6 wires. No plumbing or gas line alternations are necessary. It's compatible with virtually all pilot-less (DSI or electronic-ignition) propane appliances, and can also be used in bus conversions equipped with 24 volt ignition systems. Housed in a rugged anodized aluminum and stainless steel chassis, the unit is protected against reverse polarity, high voltage and unfiltered DC power. A one-year warranty is standard, with service and parts available from the factory.
